Interior Designer III | Progressive Insurance | Cleveland, OH The Interior Designer III is responsible for creating drawings and specifications for assigned Progressive Real Estate projects including interior construction and furniture reconfigurations. Working independently, this position determines detailed design requirements for complex work environments, space planning, design development, specifications and procurement of furniture, fixtures and equipment and coordination of furniture, fixture and equipment installation. Projects are multi-stage and require extensive coordination with internal and external resources. May mentor other Interior Designers. Responsible for Project Management of minor construction and/or renovation projects (ie. "lift and lay" projects, minor tenant improvements, etc.). KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree in Interior Design or Architecture preferred Strongly preferred that candidate to have successfully passed NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification) examination 5+ years work experience in interior design or related field Strong communication skills, verbal and written Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 2004/2006 Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Lotus Notes Possesses a strong aptitude for space planning and architectural drafting practices Must be well versed in ADA, life/safety codes and basic building codes including, Must be able to complete architectural interior layouts and evaluate finish and material options for large and complex projects.
